Our program picks people up at their homes and drives them on ferry to appointments. The cost of the ferry is covered by the TAP form. The drivers are paid a flat rate which depends on what area they are driving from: Cancer Agency from Gibsons $36, Roberts Creek $44, Sechelt $50, Halfmoon Bay $55. A notice of 4 days is required but last minute appointments are attempted to be accommodated. Rides are not a guarantee as it is on volunteer basis. If drop off only is required the patient must reimburse the driver for the cost of the ferry fares.
